International Living 2010 Index: Perfect Quality of Life

 According to the International Living 2010 Quality of Life Index, quality of life in Lithuania is one of the highest among the new EU-12 members as well as ranks higher than Sweden, Great Britain and Greece.

Lithuania is No. 22 in the Index, with the overall final score of 73 points and leaves Great Britain (25), Greece (28) and Sweden (30) behind. France (No. 1), Australia (2) Switzerland (3), Germany (4) and New Zealand (5) make the Top 5. Lithuania’s neighbours Estonia, Poland and Latvia are ranked No. 32, 35 and 40, respectively. 

Lithuania scored highest in the categories of citizens’ civil and political rights as well as safety (100 points), living environment in terms of population density and environmental pollution (81 points), as well as climate (79 points, same as Greece, Spain and Costa Rica). Cost of living in Lithuania (63 points) is also very competitive comparing to most of other countries.
