Druskininkai is a balneology resort in southern Lithuania, Alytus County, 60 km south from Alytus. It is is a year-round resort offering mineral bath, mud and climate therapies, and it is the oldest and the largest resort of this kind in Lithuania. Druskininkai old town is a monument of urban design. The town has three houses of worship, several sanatoriums, a number of wellness centres, hotels, a public library, and several parks. Although the pinewoods of Druskininkai are far from the sea, there are dunes there; and while in the peaceful town of Druskininkai, the sense of the sea roaring nearby keeps on haunting. |

It is yet another spa town in southern Lithuania, Kaunas County. Birštonas is a balneology and mud therapy resort, also famous for extraction of natural mineral water “Vytautas”, “Versmė”, “Danutė”, “Vaidilutė”, etc. The town boasts architectural monuments, interesting sites, museums, sanatoriums offering therapeutic treatment, and a stud farm. Salty springs of Birštonas have been mentioned as early as in the 15 century. Birštonas is famous for its drinking mineral water and baths; sanatoriums offer services all year round, and people arrive in this town to have a variety of curative procedures. |

One can rightly call Palanga the summer capital of Lithuania. In summer this town on the coast of the Baltic Sea attracts lots of holidaymakers from Lithuania and abroad, and it is not always easy to find a free spot on the beaches of the clean fine sand. Yet Palanga is also a climate, balneology, and mud therapy resort offering a number of sanatoriums, wellness and leisure centres, and hotels. Palanga attracts visitors by its tempering and invigorating climate, the cool Baltic Sea and the fact that during the warm season of the year there are more sunny days in Palanga than in any other place in Lithuania. There are a lot of private houses and villas in Palanga, inhabited by their owners largely only in summer. |

It is a divine peninsula between the Baltic Sea and the Curonian Lagoon. Once in Lithuania, you should definitely visit Neringa. After some time you will surely start missing it and will wish to return here once again. Neringa is also a very popular place to spend your holiday. The town is on the territory of the Curonian Spit National Park, with a number of high sand dunes. There is a Hill of Witches (Raganų kalnas) in Juodkrantė and the Dune of Parnidis (Parnidžio kopa) in Nida. Many tourists visit Nida, not only from Lithuania, but also from abroad, especially from Germany, for a lot of Germans used to live in Neringa until World War Two. After the war they had to leave their native land. |
